Cameron and Quinn
Our Story
Cameron Nelsen and Quinn Chronister met in Wilson Hall at Oregon State University our freshman year. We lived on the same floor and both became a part of a group of friends that would regularly hang out in the 5th floor lounge. That lounge was foundational to our relationship. On March 8th, 2020, we had our first date at McMenamin’s on Monroe.
If that date seems to ring a bell, that’s most likely because it was about the time that COVID started. What our luck. Before Quinn left the dorms to move back home to Bakersfield, CA, Cameron got each of us a promise ring. We’ve been wearing them since. On December 13, 2023 Cameron proposed.
Our Journey
We started living together in 2021with 3 roommates and moved into our first apartment alone in 2022. Sirius was with us since a puppy, but the family wouldn’t grow until we moved to our current house, where we introduced Calderon and Remus into our family. There are ideas to continue growing our family, but no set plans.
We’ve found balance, acceptance, and compassion with each other. Managing to balance school, work, friendships, and hobbies hasn’t always been easy, but it continues to get easier.
Marriage
Why the wait? Besides life being very talented at getting in the way? Quinn loved the equality of fiancé. Becoming officially married was floated as a serious idea around April of 2026 because Cameron was ready to call Quinn his spouse and for Quinn to call Cameron their husband.
